Making Critical Banking Dependencies Visible
A banking ITOM proof of concept that met its technical feasibility objective: a business-critical service mapped with a semi-automated approach, and a foundation for broader rollout.
A bank needed to show that Service Mapping works reliably in a complex enterprise environment, despite discovery limitations and incomplete visibility of business service dependencies.
We mapped a business-critical service with a semi-automated approach, made discovery improvements the bank can reuse, enriched CMDB data and added configuration change tracking. We worked with the infrastructure, security and application owner teams to meet strict banking security and change policies.
The proof of concept met its technical feasibility objective and gave the bank a foundation for broader rollout.
